Richa Sarkar

Richa embarked on her career in the realm of voice-overs for various radio channels, notably “Bachik Shilpo”. Her talents encompass recitation and Audio Drama performances in diverse stage shows. As a regular artist on Akashbani Kolkata, she hosted FM talk shows and conducted programs for various TV channels, receiving widespread attention and admiration.

Richa has acted in Aabaha’s production “Revolver” and served as the emcee for all of Aabaha’s productions and festivals.

Richa’s skills as an emcee have led to invitations to host prestigious events in West Bengal, including Rabindra-Sadan, Jorashanko Kobijoyonti, Sangeet-Mela, Kobita-Utsab, Yubo-Utsav, Dover Lane Music Conference, Bishwa Banga Sammelan, and Calcutta Book Fair. She has also performed in cities across the United States, such as Philadelphia, New Jersey, Delaware, Atlanta, Chicago, Richmond, and Nashville. Richa has served as an official emcee for events like Rabindra Utsav in NJ, Bangamela, Regional Bengali Conference, and Banga Sammelan, further showcasing her versatility.

Furthermore, Richa founded Atlanta Abrittichorcha, the first recitation group in the USA, which has gained significant popularity in the digital media space. Richa’s contributions to Bengali recitation have earned her recognition, with interviews on various Indian TV channels. She received training in recitation from Rama Basu, a disciple of Pradip Ghosh, and Amitava Bagchi. Richa’s programs are highly sought after and cherished by audiences.
